Title: Keycaps for my Filco Minila Air (iso Layout)
Post by: Wonko73 on Tue, 14 October 2014, 13:38:43
Hi,

I got a Filco Minila Air with blue switches (German iso layout). I really like this keyboard, but watching at all these great keyboards here I'd like to get some fine new keycaps for it.

Are there any fitting sets for it? I ask because of the very special key sizes, esp. the space bar...

Any ideas?

I feel your pain.  :(  Iso kits aren't too tough to find in a group buy though. It's that little spacebar that's almost impossible to replace.

SP has DSA inventory

h=Hope you like DSA, because that's your only option.

you can't replace the 3 keys on the bottom row and keep then convex, they will end up concave like regular keys

You could get a nice DSA set with ISO kit from a Group Buy or the Classifieds section, but you'd still need to order the 3x spacebar key and 1.75x control key from SP to fill out the bottom row. The Ctrl key will probably need to be blank.

This is one of the reasons so many people buy the Poker II. Completely standard ANSI layout makes it compatible with the widest range of keycap sets.
