Title: Looking for a new mouse pad with wrist rest
Post by: Boozebreath on Wed, 15 October 2014, 16:25:17
Anyone know good cloth gaming moues pad with a wrist rest?  Only one I can find is the Razer Vespula, no idea if it is any good.  Unless I am better off getting a Steelseries QcK and finding a separate wrist rest.

If anyone could recommend or list some good ones it would be appreciated.

Roccat Alumic, hands down better than Vespula judging by reviews. (aluminium surface)

Edit: Read multiple sources saying that the aluminium surface of the Alumic is superior to Vespula's overpriced plastic.

Doh! didn't realize the Razer Vespula was plastic, so it rules that out.  I did check out the Roccat Alumic because I never heard of it, looks pretty cool but spendy for a mouse pad.  I may try one in the future but for now I just was a good yet cheaper cloth pad.  So far that only leaves me with the SteelSeries QcK, least its only $10.

I switched to the PureTrak Talent (white special edition to match setup) a while back from the QcK Heavy and QcK+ and it's much smoother and I prefer it myself. They are $16 right now directly from PureTrak.
(For reference, I've been using the Zowie FK1 since it arrived in the mail yesterday, but have been running a Logi G400 with great results on the Talent)

Lately I have been looking at the Artisan Hayate Soft though, but with all the options Artisan offers, I'm weary of the smooth gliding in one direction and slightly heavy in the other direction. Artisan seems to be the go-to for quality pads if you are willing to spend for it. I've also seen Allsop getting some love.

Currently trying out an allsop I borrowed actually.  It's okay but the memory foam wrist rest makes my wrist hot and sweaty.  So I should probably rule out memory foam rests.

No but I still said I was open to getting a wrist rest separate in my first post, more options never hurt.
