Title: Keycap Stabilizer Insert
Post by: yomammary on Thu, 16 October 2014, 08:40:06
I recently changed my original WASD keycaps for think PBT Leopold keycaps.
Problem is that the stabilizer inserts are bit loose on the keys and I mean all of them are pretty loose.
Do you guys know if there are inserts that would fit better my Leopold keycaps?

I've used little squares of scotch tape with great success before (adhesive side facing the insert  ;) )

I find cling wrap to be the best solution. You can shape it easily around the stem and adjust to fit and it won't move around or leave residue / be hard to get off.

Nice, I don't know why I didn't think of this!
Thanks for all the replies.

I wonder if one could use playdoh for said problem.

I wonder if one could use playdoh for said problem.

It would get stuck inside the keycap.

A small ~1cm square bit of plastic, even from a plastic shopping bag or a ziplock bag, works fine, and is easily removed with no damage or residue to keycap or switch.
