Title: JD40 Keycaps
Post by: crimsonTofu on Sun, 19 October 2014, 21:22:44
Hi everyone, I was considering buying a JD40 from [ctrl]Alt and was wondering where everyone gets their keycaps from.

Well there isn't really anything about the layout that makes it incompatible with any set, some of the caps are just in different places

I prefer using DSA sets for my JD40.  They're all the same profile so it doesn't really matter where I place the caps.  I won't have any issues with certain caps restricted to certain rows due to different heights/profiles.  There's a ton of DSA sets floating around now and even some GB's in progress (like Valentine) that use the profile.

Yeah DSA is your best bet so the row heights don't get all messed up

-Maniacal laugh- You can always just grind them to the desired height you want! -revs 35k rpm dremel with sandpaper bit-  >:D

There have been rumors of a group buy 'coming soon' for a jd40 only set.

For one of mine I will probably use my Round 5 jd40 set.

This set had a Smallfry (JD40) kit: http://www.pimpmykeyboard.com/deals/greentea-base-kit/

I'm sure there will be more later.

This is a set that will be starting within a month or two with JD40 support.
