A touchpad with electric near field detection.

Similar in idea to the Ractiv Touch+ or Leap Motion, but much simpler functionality.

The 3d functionality is gimmicky bull**** IMO, but if the 2d sensing is very precise with high polling frequency and multitouch support, and lets you get raw access to the data, then it might be possible to build interesting things out of this.
