Is blackwidow garbage?  Why people hate it so much?

It isn't so much garbage.  It's a huge step up from a dome keyboard.  It just isn't as nice as say a WASDkeyboard, Poker, Filco, DASKeyboard, and a bunch of others.  You can think of the Blackwidow as the Cadilac of keyboards and a lot of the other ones as more of the Ferrari and Super Sport cars of the keyboard world.

I own two Blackwidows myself.  They will soon belong to my brothers and are being replaced with WASDkeyboards.  It's all personal preference.  I haven't had an issue with my Blackwidows, it's just the WASDkeyboards just feel so much nicer.  Others have different opinions on why the bought what they bought.  If you have a Blackwidow, don't fret too much.  They are still nice planks.

Well there are 2 type of h8  on the black widow..


There's the irrational hatred,  perpetrated by people who don't know jack about keyboard, but they like the fact that they belong to "a crowd"


Then there's the people who gives a damn about keyboards.. and h8 the BW for very specific reasons.


Poor design, not fixing the space bar wire..   the keycaps being poorly molded..   it becomes flimsy with use because it relies on the screw tension to keep the frame rigid..

The pcb soldering quality isn't so great...  the paint peels on the caps..   


Pretty much,  every wrong way to make a keyboard.. in a single package...

The ones that bash it or the ones that start a new thread and  ask why we hate it.
