Title: Would someone be my US proxy ?
Post by: azhdar on Mon, 27 October 2014, 12:49:11
For some reason Amazon doesn't want to send those oversea : http://www.amazon.com/Metro-Datavac-Elctrcduster-500W-European/dp/B003BZCOKK/ref=sr_1_cc_1?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1414431771&sr=1-1-catcorr&keywords=datavac+220V

even if it's the european version , w/e .

Resellers in europe are selling it like 200$ , which is ridiculous .

Would someone be intersted in being my US proxy ?

I'll be ordering two of those , if you could come up with an estimate prices for a shipping to :
France , ZIPCODE .

Thanks .

You might save just a little doing it that way, but maybe not. Shipping from US to France is going to be between $100-150 (no way to estimate without knowing the package weight), and you will almost certainly get hit with VAT.

You know,  I'm APO/FPO.  You could ship it to jdcarpe, who could ship it to me, and I can ship it from Italy to you.  A little convoluted, but if you really want it,  I'm sure it can be arranged.

If you got a leaf blower..  works even better..

IDK why people are buying $70 datavacs, when they can get a badass leafblower for the same price..

OR they may even have a leaf blower already..

Tp4 only cleans his computer with leaf blower..

Tp4 also uses an acrylic brush for corner action.

i got a leaf blower but i do think it's kind of bing to clean a computer/keyboard :)

I'll reconsider that , may not be worth via proxy , amazon.co.uk go them for 110€ apparently

I was about to suggest the Amazon.co.uk option, they seem to have a couple of Datavac models in stock.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Datavac-Electric-Duster-ED-500-220-240V/dp/B003BZCOKK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1414442976&sr=8-1&keywords=Datavac (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Datavac-Electric-Duster-ED-500-220-240V/dp/B003BZCOKK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1414442976&sr=8-1&keywords=Datavac)

Not sure if the exchange rate works in your favor or not, or how much they charge to deliver to France.  Good luck!

dude..

just make sure ur not pushing anything that might torque against the motherboard.. or slots

like remove the graphics card..

and also hold the heatsink still if you have a big tower type, and only bow into it through the fins.

shipping weight is 9 lbs, according to the listing, so I estimate $53.10 shipping via priority mail with tracking and insurance
