Guy DYI'd a camera shutter with them, may have to try this myself.

Huh, that's really cool. I wonder if I could tweak a TechKeys business card to do this.

I made a DIY shutter release out of a $.50 flashlight, I could easily put a cherry MX switch in it. May do that this weekend using a dremel I just picked up.

doesnt the toggle switch on the top just act like holding down one of the buttons?

yeah, you would use that for long exposure photography
