Anyone have any info on adding a caps lock LED to a Novatouch keyboard?

I've taken one completely apart: the case is a pain. I recommend getting a nylon stick.

Anyway, there's a place on the PCB for an LED there. There is also a resistor. I would imagine it works if you just solder one in place.

There's also room for scroll lock and winkeylock (F9).

In retrospect I should have taken better photos.

Is there mounting holes on the pcb for the leds dorkvader?

There are...
They don't seem to power the LED though

bummer, they must have cut that out of the firmware.
Get a DMM, plug in the KB, turn on capslock and see if you get voltage.

I have seen photos on Deskthority where the smd resistors on the LED circuit were left off the final production boards. The empty spots are near the PCB power header plug.

Yep, I'm in that thread! Apparently 200ohm works for the LED

If LED were designed into the PCB already, were they left out for cost saving or is there another reason? Has anyone done the LED mod?

The OP on the thread states that CM/Topre weren't happy with the 3 translucent caps they had.
