Those dell keyboards deserve that treatment...they're absolutely horrid to type on.

that's why I am wondering if anyone will do the same thing on i-rocks keyboards..lol

No, the iRocks keyboards actually have decent switches. The Dells are just mediocre rubber domes.

It would be cool to have a keyboard garden but I wouldn't think it's possible to do so on a standard design without shaking the poor plants to pieces when you type.

You'd have to have an isolated design (like sony laptops) where the keycaps go straight down, and a seperate tray underneath the key one where the plants can grow up through slits in the keyboard tray. You'd probably use moss or some other low-profile plant rather than cress though. I think the unusual keycap design (assuming full sized ones with nice switches are used) would be the difficult bit, maybe they could be made out of some sort of hollow cubes? Unless a company (cough cough) picks up the idea and starts producing them by the thousand of course.
