Blizzard's new game.
Looks like a rip off (?) of TF2  :-X Looks nice though.
Thoughts ?

Looks OK.

Looks a little too close to TF2 for my liking, but if I get into the beta I'll be able to give more perspective on it.

If they add more classes/characters as paid or grindable content, I'll probably like it more. 3.5k hours of TF2 makes the game a bit stale.

Did you see ? There's literally and Engineer rip off as well as a spy. :D
Yeah, hopefully I'll get into their beta :3

The trailer was too childish for me, but maybe the gameplay is nice.

Let's see if one of us is lucky enough to get into Beta :)

the reason tf2 is fun is because it is based a lot on quake, imo. while not as fast... still is cool.
don't think this one will have the same feel. looks a little MOBA-fps-like, which would feel way different than tf2.

if it plays fast I'll get a lot more hype

Now the first beta wave got out and we're seeing actual streamed gameplay. Anyone lucky enough to get into the beta?

Never really got into TF2 (more TFC) so I don't know how similar it is to that but I'm definitely seeing elements from TF, ET even MOBAs although I guess the connection is pretty light to that. It is looking like a really interesting crossover title. Watched a bunch of Quake ex-pros team up and stream it on Twitch and it seems really fun.

Could imagine myself even enjoy watching pro games of this. Would be pretty fun if a game like this becomes a big esport.

Holy ****, this game was announced almost a year ago now?

It feels shorter than that.

I didn't get into the beta, but I'm excited to see if I do. It looks like a seriously fun game.

I'm not in the beta, I've just watched a couple of streams and such. This game looks like it has some potential, but it needs more hats :P

Probably won't buy the game, as I'm getting kind of burned out on shooters, but if some enjoyable streamers pick it up, I can see myself watching.

I keep trying to open TF2 and play. I just cannot bring myself to do it. Maybe I'll jump in on this if we get a good GH presence. I haven't really gamed in years now.

I hear this good things about this, how the maps and synergy between classes outshines TF2 by far, the most class interaction we got with tf2 was medic+whoever really

Definitely not true! tf2 and overwatch are very different, especially due to mobility of each class. If you ever played competivie on team fortress 2 you know that perfectly timed plays include interaction between every class, the medic is off course one of the central aspects, but for instance interactions between scouts and soldiers or demos is equally important : eg. scouts fend off other scouts and sollies, while  soldier deal the heavy damage, scout then goes in to finish off wounded enemies. This is one of the most simple strategies and yet very hard to pull off because no one is every still and communication is key.

So any further feedback from GH's? I never get into the beta's, Blizzard just hates me for some reason. Looks cool though, the only FPS I play is TF2 so looking forward to this. If anyone wants to play some TF2 with me let me know, will probably have to be EU only though, I think the US servers are too slow, can't do FPS at like 200+ping :)

I feel you, it's 60 euro in my region because Blizzard doesn't give different currency pricing for Africa, we just fall under Europe because of course our currency is apparently comparable to the euro....... So yeah even more then $60. Just can't justify it, much as I would like to play.

I didn't get in either :(
And so unfortunate. I dislike game that does close beta and goes competitive later on.

Lol, well. The fact that Team Liquid is sponsoring a team for a game that's still in Beta says it all.
Blizzard really needs to learn from Valve.

That is some serious truth, Blizzard make great games but they could really learn a thing or two from Valve in terms of how they manage them. Valve is pretty much my favourite company so I am a little biased ;)

In, but the download is too large for me to waste on something that doesn't really appeal.
