What Blue Tooth keyboards work with Android phones? Preferably below $100 with good battery life.
-
I don't think there are any options for <100.....

Keep an eye out for this one: http://global.pchome.com.tw/english/prod/DCAH6N-A81572296
Though currently out of stock, I love mine. And the shipping is very fast.

here's the manufacturer's page on it.

I was skeptical but it does say it uses cherry MX

Someone has posted a link to a TKL mechanical Bluetooth keyboard. I think it had Cherry MX reds. It was posted some time ago, but I'm unable to find it now... :(
I seem to remember it was even backlit when connected to the computer through USB.
I would actually love to get my hands on one. I should have saved this link.

i was gonna say neo zelia 87 but it's not backlit.
So that means you're probably thinking of GONs NerD 2.0

^definitely not under $100

Well it's neither the GON nor the Zelia, which is wireless but not Bluetooth (apparently).
Damn... I should I saved this link. Stupid me. I save tons of links I never use, but I did not save this one!
I have done a Google search but I can't find it anymore.
I'm planning to use my MacBook Air at a remote office, where I'll plug it to a large screen. The Air has only 2 USB ports. A Bluetooth TKL would have been the perfect companion.

Just curious, since I haven't seen many bt capable mech keyboards why not get a bt switch? They have them on massdrop now: https://www.massdrop.com/buy/bluetooth-keyboard-adapter
Not sure if its compatible with Android, but I think it should work *shrugs*

Plum96 an option?

I cannot use this one, because it is NOT compatible with Macs.
http://handheldsci.com/kb
I have already emailed Handheld Scientific (the manufacturer) some time ago, and they confirmed that it is not compatible with Macs at this time. The connection can be established, but not sustained.
Funny thing, the picture on Massdrop shows someone using a Mac with a mechanical keyboard connected to this device. This simply cannot work. The picture is deceptive (this is most probably not on purpose, it's a mistake).

Massdrop is currently offering a bluetooth adapter for keyboards. However, it's not that good. From what I've heard they may also offer the Varmillo FC660M (because they are currently offering the Varmilo VA87M), which is practically a bluetooth and backlit version of the Leopold FC660M. It's a bit pricey, but you may want to go for it considering the amount of features it packs and how there aren't many bluetooth mechanical keyboard options in the market at the moment.
-
Hmm...I don't want an adapter because that looks clunky because you still need a cable to use it

I don't need back lighting, but if the keyboard has it, I'm not going to complain.
Where can I buy a Neo Zelia 87? I couldn't find any retailers.

Why is the Plum96 even suggested? It's not even wireless...

The minila air is no where near $100 but it's a nice non option.

OK, sorry. I stand corrected. I had seen this review and missed the part about Bluetooth. The reviewer does not seem to care much about the feature.

It's not this one.
It was a TKL with a very classical look. A standard PC keyboard without the numeric keypad, and it was Bluetooth.
But thank you for the links.

Just to let you guys know... I just bought a brand new Minila Air yesterday for $88USD ($101CAN).
Shipping to the US cost me $14USD.
If you're looking for a cheap bluetooth mech, you won't find anything better at this price range or for any other price range at that (unless you're considering modded keyboards or custom Korean boards like GON's Crystal line).

Where did you get the Filco for that price?

Ugh, were you the one who bought the Minila Airs with Blacks from NCIX? I was eyeing that but wasn't sure if I wanted that layout.

I missed out on the NCIX USA Minila Air w/ Blacks sale but was able to get it on the Canadian side.
I'm actually super attracted to the layout as it seems to be a good mix between the HHKB Pro and JP layouts (and in a good way).
-
Got off the phone with NCIX just now and it looks like my order was one of the last 2 Minila Airs available at this price .
I take back my last post: the deal isn't available anymore and it doesn't like like the Minila Air Cherry MX Black is available on either NCIXUS or NCIX (Canada).
Maybe Filco has something else in the works because it looks like the Minila Air is discontinued.

Link? I've been looking for something like this to be able to use my IBM M on BT devices.
Even though the OP already got the Minila Air, at one point DAS was making a BT keyboard with Cherry switches. I don't know if they ever made another batch though.

I picked up the Handheld Scientific BT-100 for my poker 2. It does not work :-[
It works perfectly well on an el cheapo plastic usb keyboard I keep in a box for emergencies but my aluminium clad, custom keyed poker is entirely unhappy with it.

It doesn't work either with the Mac, so I decided not to purchase it. Sounds like it has other issues as well.
