Title: Conductive 3D printing filament
Post by: conandy on Fri, 14 November 2014, 23:07:13
I was introduced to this kickstarter campaign via Facebook.  As I have been really interested in getting a 3D printer soon, this intrigued me.  I was thinking about a lot of the nifty stuff folks do on this forum, and I was wondering if this filament might make it possible to  3D print keyboards that don't require soldering wires (or at least a reduced number of soldered wires), or having PCB's made.

What I don't know is whether the conductivity of the filament is going to be good enough for keyswitch signals.  Imagine printing a 3D keyboard paltform where you could just plug your keyswitches and controller in and go!

Anyway, it seemed like a kickstarter campaign worth supporting, especially for those of you who have 3D printers.  So I am sharing for those interested.
