Title: DSA Size? Compatibility with costar stabs
Post by: awhitedev on Sat, 15 November 2014, 15:57:28
I had some issues using some thick Leopold PBT keycaps with costar stabilizers before... they'd get stuck on the wire and it was awful.

I have a set of DSA granite keys coming in sometime in the next month and I'm just wondering:

I have a set of DSA granite keys coming in sometime in the next month and I'm just wondering:

  • Do Signature Plastic's DSA caps cause issues with costar stabilizers? Has anyone tried it before?
  • Are Signature Plastic's DSA caps 1.5mm thick or are they thinner than that?

I have had a set of DSA PBT blanks from SP on costar stabs with zero issue on two different boards.  One was a third gen Das, and the other was a Rosewill.

I had SP Granite DSA on Costar (QFS) with no issues at all.

Also the tightness issues seem to been resolved - none of the keycaps were stuck when I tried to remove them.

Good to know! Glad to hear they won't cause any issues.

I'm using SP PBT DSA on a JD40 with a Costar spacebar, and no issues here!
