Title: [Ebay UK] Laser/Virtual/Projection keyboard with £13 starting price
Post by: IBI on Wed, 22 July 2009, 10:36:26

Obviously this isn't something that's nice to type on, but given the low starting price I thought it was worth posting in case anyone wants one to play with.

As an example of perhaps the worst keyboard design ever conceived?

I wouldn't so much say that.  It was a great idea in terms of portability, especially for PDAs back in the day; however, the real-world functionality didn't meet the expectations of the idea.

Well, I'm a person who need tactility to type...and that doesn't have ANY.
Novel idea, but not really a good one.

Your fingers slamming into the desk isn't enough tactility?

No, because you can't tell which key you pressed by feel, only that you hit the desk.

Funny, when I'm typing, I can't tell which key I've pressed by feel, only that I've pressed a key...

I meant in relation to the keys around it. It's subtle, but I find it important.
