Title: Amiga 2000
Post by: nubbinator on Wed, 19 November 2014, 22:47:46
I don't see these come up very often with the Cherry boards.  Based on the looks of the caps and the fact that the A is red, this should be Cherry G80-0904 (http://deskthority.net/wiki/Cherry_G80-0904) with MX Blacks and a linear Grey spacebar.  It's great if you want a vintage computer to play around with since it's $400, but not so great of a deal if you don't want the computer part.

Nice find. Are those "A" mods 1.25x? I would love to have those.

Note to potential bidders: these boards are not compatible with modern machines... you would need to install a teensy to use it with a PC.

They should have since it was posted it in here about a week and a half ago (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=65537.0).  The Amiga board is just really uncommon, especially with a working system.

I have a broken and incomplete one of those with white Hi-Tek Space Invaders.

The "A" legends are black, however.

Yeah, that's the more common version.  From my understanding, the Cherry one is pretty rare.

Not a bad deal for a complete working retro system that appears to be in very good condition. As I understand it, the Cherry version was either the original stock board with the initial run in a very low number or a 'deluxe' upgrade option over the hi-tek or later most common mitsumi versions.
