Hello geekhack community.
I was looking for several days for the perfect mechanical keyboard for me. I want a keyboard where the F-Keys are aligned in one line with with the numeric keys (like on the noppoo choc mini) and also have an ISO layout, so i can use german layout keycaps (as i am from austria and used to the german layout).
As there is no keyboard on the market which is offering me the perfect configuration to fit my requirements and I love DIY projects, this is the ideal opportunity for me to launch one.
Now some details about myself. I am 26 and live in Austria. I work as an researcher and design embedded hard- and software for hydrogen solutions. In my free time i play e-guitar, powerlift, play online games and work on some DIY projects every now and then.
If you have any hints or reccomendations for my keyboard "problem", please reply and give me some links. Or if you have any personal questions, feel free to ask them.
I am looking forward to exchange some experiences and knowledge. Maybe I will/can involve myself a bit in future development of new hard/software.
Greetings from Austria!

Welcome to Geekhack!
You are more than welcome to involve yourself in as much development as you like! There are often interesting hardware projects going on around here. The GH60 was one - designing a keyboard from scratch. It was a resounding success!

Thx!
Well first i will need something like a base, to get some insight in the whole matter. Ideally a custom programmable PCB. In the best case with a key layout like the noppoo choc mini or the PS2AVR mx-miniU (ISO - for german layout).
Do you know any (hidden or hard to find) runnig group orders or other sources where i can find something with the explained specifications? I would order right away =)
