Title: PS/2 to USB for Macs?
Post by: abdulmuhsee on Mon, 24 November 2014, 18:52:09
So I bought a friend a semi-vintage mechanical keyboard for his birthday... only to find out he uses a Mac.  While that revelation made me question our continued friendship, I'm primarily trying to find a PS/2 to USB adapter that will work on his Mac.  Some forums have people complaining that they bought an adapter and it didn't work.

I'm already forgetting the name of the keyboard now that it's no longer in my hands, but it's a black 60% board with White ALPS clones and one row of grey keys.

Highly recommended - I have used one myself to get a PS/2 Model M working on my Mac, and also combined with an AT to PS/2 adaptor to get an old NEC keyboard working on my Mac.

I have one of those and it works OK, but for some keyboards it fails completely. I have always found the Ziotek blue cube to work better.

Alright, so the techkeys offering and the blue cube both have a pretty good chance of working.

If using a Mac is ground for considering discontinuing friendship is not realy enticing for other Mac users to help you out here :P
