In the 1980s the Concept Keyboard was a pressure sensitive pad with a resolution of about one inch by one inch. It was commonly used in British schools plugged into a BBC Micro. The teacher would make an overlay by drawing dinosaurs or whatever on a sheet of paper, stuck onto the Concept Keyboard, and the computer would be programmed to respond to whichever part of the Concept Keyboard had been pressed.

Yes... 1 dpi... the only resolution where it doesn't matter if you confuse inches and square inches.
