I don't know much about headphones. I recently bought Audio Technica M40fs for use with a practice amp. Sounds like the Sennheisers are more suited to recreational listening than monitoring?
Anybody want to draw some comparisons between the two pairs for me?
It will be an interesting chance to compare the two, and I am sure it will not be hard to re-sell the Sennheisers for no loss if I don't end up using them.

After years of piano.. music is dead to me.. played out.. there are no nuances left..
If you'd like to prevent ^^^ from happening, DO NOT read any books about theory..
Once you do, the magic disappears, and you realize that they've been playing the exact same tune for the past 300 years..
