Title: G80-1000 HAU
Post by: kalrand on Fri, 28 November 2014, 15:47:58
How common were the Cherry G80-1000's? Specifically the HAU model?

It seems like this was the basic MX Black Cherry Model M lookalike, and I haven't really seen many mentions of them anywhere.

I'm assuming one today would be fairly expensive, but have any traded in the last few years?

I've heard them valued around $200

Very common. While not seen too often on US ebay for awhile, it shouldn't be that tough to find one for a reasonable price. Even mint ones shouldn't be more than $100 for standard colorway. The SAU models on the other hand... ouch. High prices shouldn't be seen on plain US models... it only the more exotic stuff like Greek, Russian, other colorways that demand higher prices. ISO models on the other hand can often be found starting at 1EUR.

While mint ones probably shouldn't be more than $100, people will certainly pay more than that. I'm sure a NIB G80-1000HAU would get at least $200-250. A NIB G80-3000HAU would get roughly the same.
