Hi there. I bought my first mech board a round 4 months ago, a Ducky Shine 3 with brown cherry switches and recently 8-12 keys have started to not register or double type. I think that it's called chattering so I ran Switch Hitter to do some testing and it did indeed pick up on chattering on few keys, but not all of the ones that are doing it. My question is that I've read up on some cleaning guides and I bought some 99% isopropyl alcohol in order to clean my switches with a Q-Tip, but how long should I leave it to dry? how much do I use? will it damage my LEDs or is there anything I should be careful of?
Any advice would be great.

If it is 99% or 100% isopropyl, it would evaporate pretty quickly (provided you don't have a poll of it sitting in the bottom of the switch).

How dirty can your keyboard be in only 4 months. It should still be in Very Very good condition in 4 months, unless you're a slob around your desk and speeding up the dirty keyboard process

I don't eat at my PC but I do smoke. I've read in some places that can be cause some problems in some cases. I cleaned it last night and left it a good 10 hours and it seem to have worked okay.

I use a little USB vacuum with a soft rubber tip (they cost like $3) and it works wonders for me for regular maintenance, cleaning.

I hoover it once a week when I clean my desk anyway. A USB vacuum does sound a lot easier though! but after browsing this forum I feel the need to get some custom keycaps more than a USB vacuum :D. I've got no idea where to even look for them in the UK.

Custom key caps? There's a lot of vendors out there, and a ton of stuff on eBay. Just have a look around this forum in the Key Caps section. You'll find loads of sources. Here are few off the top of my head.
