Title: Recent Keyboard acquisitions....
Post by: annelid on Sun, 30 November 2014, 08:25:17
I recently (like last week) bought via craigslist a mint condition unicomp 122 key - keyboard. I used a application called - hot key control and mapped some of the function keys for audio up/down/mute/etc.

Also a few months back i went to a garage sale and found a Razer Blackwidow (with the blue cherry mx switches.) There's a minor scuff mark near the razer logo but nothing major. Price? $15. :D

One weird thing about the unicomp (usb) is...that sometimes when I boot up the pc , the keyboard won't register. The razer never had that problem.

I'm thinking about getting a keyboard cover from unicomp. Does anybody have one and if so..thoughts about it?

I would salvage those Blue MX Switches and do something cool with them. Like buy a custom board without switches and add the blues. A JD40 for example.

I prefer a full size keyboard to type on.   Plus the razer is fully functional, looks good and is cheap ( kinda like me.) ;)
