Title: Methods to prevent Ergodox from sliding on bolts?

What techniques do people use to keep their Ergodox halves from sliding around on their desk? (As a stopgap I bought some cut-to-size no-slip drawer lining, but this is ugly and anyway imperfect.) Adhesive pads? Something else?

USually I just let it slide, but shelf lining helps too.

If you don't like shelf lining, ask fohat.digs about a piece of EPDM. That stuff is great.

Another option is to put rubber feet on it. 3M bumpons are a popular choice.

Bumpons work great. You can get them at a hardware store.

I use tiny cheap bump-ons on a big cloth mousepad (Corsair MM200XL or SteelSeries QcK+).

I highly recommend tenting your Ergodox (at an angle anywhere from 15–50°; angles steeper than 30° are generally more comfortable but people tend to reject them for seeming unusual; try out a few different angles and then stick with whatever seems most comfortable to you) instead of leaving it to sit flat on the desk. There are many possible ways to prop it up at an angle in such a way that it will sit still solidly and not slide around, but since the structure for that isn’t built in, you’ll have to DIY.
