Leopold has announced that another exclusive item will be released before the end of August. The Realforce 23U uses the same capacitive switches and will be available in the same stunning colors as their bigger brothers.
The tenkeypad will use the USB interface and will be customizeable through dipswitches. All switches will use 45g sensitivity with 4mm key travel.
The price and further information is yet to be announced.
The big problem for me is now I've finally gotten so good at the number row that I never use my Kinsesis numpad.
grrrrr...... Maybe the Japanese LIKE dipswitches?
I love dipswitches. They are configurable when using any OS, have a built-in display of their status, and retain their memory content for thousands of years.

Agreed, but don't toss the box!
Agreed, but don't toss the box! They don't supply a sticker with the Topre's settings? That's a letdown for such an expensive piece of hardware...
$134 or $4. It's "Learn That Number Row (http://geekhack.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=3264&stc=1&d=1248196173)" time.Show Image(http://geekhack.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=3264&stc=1&d=1248196173)
I only have trouble sometimes with & and * sometimes now.

Well, I guess that's what I'm arguing. Unless you're a checkout clerk or a bank clerk juggling soup cans or checks with the other hand why can't you just use the number row as a new home row and go at it with two hands. Should be theoretically faster once you get over the learning hump.
Christ! I knew these were coming months back but never thought they would be asking this kind of money! Its pretty disgusting really.
Shame as I would have liked one.

FYI, this is NOT the most expensive keypad I've ever seen;
the "Epson Business ten-key board" was priced at 38,000yen. And it's got discontinued in 2006, using RoHS thing as an official excuse.

I'm not getting that argument. Isn't that what we do anytime we type Alpha characters when transcribing?
I think accuracy with numbers is much more important than with transcribing. You just can't allow typos when entering numbers, as they might influence the result extremely.

Like I mentioned in a thread, I'm considering a tenkeyless, but am not sure if I can live without a numerical keypad. Don't get me wrong, I would love to be able to touch type on the number row, but the . is too far from the numbers. I have to type numbers a lot in a day. Things would have been easier if I did not have to type in French a lot. I could then have turned my ~ key into a . key.
Jesus, $130 for a numpad! Must be the king of numpads then... I'll take eight! Wait... does this even have tactile mechanical switches, or is it rubber dome?
Also, Red escape keys are always interesting to us, it is just to hard to cover everyones desires (makes, models, profiles). We do currently carry many colors of IBM caps, but printing on them depends on demand.
The Aron boards to my knowledge use cherry blue switches and sell for extremely cheap. I've seen them on sale for $300-400 HKD, which is about $50 US.
