Title: Ergodox Trouble with some Keys
Post by: rethus on Thu, 04 December 2014, 05:34:12
At the moment I have some trouble with the marked keys.
They don't work any more.

Can somebody give me a hint, which Lines on the PCB i should test to found the error?

I would start with checking if any pins are not shorting the ground. My first suspect would be this red key in thumb cluster.

I've jolted each of them, and inspect the SolderingPoints. Looks all good.

I think it's a cold soldering-Point on the Tensee?
Is there a plan so I could figuer out which pins on teensy I could check?

Ok, it's on the teensy.
Pin 5, lower row from left seems to make the trouble.

At the moment, it works again, after resoldering this pin.

That's odd, based on traces on PCB, it should be something to do with D3 (third pin from the lower right), pin 5 from left (B3) is connected to the column of "8ik,".

You are right. Seems that I have resolderd B3 and it works... but only for short time.
Now I have resolderd D3, and it works again :)

Hope to got the main failure now  :thumb:
