Title: What's in the box?
Post by: Kaliet on Fri, 05 December 2014, 23:32:13
This is what I made a while ago. :)
An MX-Mini 1800 WKL layout.

while I'm not a fan of the WKL layout, and much prefer your near-borderless designs...
this still makes me really happy to look at! beautiful!! great work as always Kaliet! :)

is it difficult to make near-borderless design for a 75% layout? since this one has a lot bigger border than 22Mini and 2TU respectively.

Since there is a newer version of MX-Mini-RGB PCB which is smaller in size but has the same or more layout options, I guess it is possible. :)

I'm as interested in the case as I am in the board! Where did you get that??

Very nice board, I quite like the WKL layout, but I'm not 100% convinced :P

As I replied to munch, the PCB has various layout options including both ANSI and ISO to say nothing of WK and WKL both supported.
The new version PCB, newer than that used in this keyboard, is smaller in size so I can make smaller and slimmer housing without bolts seeing on top.
I can resell the PCB once I buy them from the PCB designer Monster Mask in Korea and make housing for it. :)

I too would be interested in a border-less 75% design! I hope you update us if you make one :)

Because there isn't much demand for 75% keyboard, I'm afraid I wouldn't make one unless there is an order for it.
Who will have the honor to be the first brave one? :D
The almost-borderless design for 75% would be very similar to my 22mini-RGB.

I design and some guy makes it. And that is how I make my keyboards.

Wait, are those keycaps from the Tai-Hao group buy?

Yup, those are from GB at Korean keyboard community called keylab.

Still waiting for mine to arrive.

It was done a long time ago, maybe a year ago or some like that.

...?

All the things we never get told.

Did your group buy come before or after the original GH/DT group buy?

I have no idea. I've been away for a while.
