So I just got my TKL MJ2 in MX Browns from KeyboardCo, and the sounds when I'm typing on it sound very dull and muffled compared to my full size MJ2 also in browns, which has a sharp and crisp clack when it hits the plate. Is this normal for the TKL MJ2? My QFR in MX reds also has a similar sound when bottoming out so I'm wondering if my MJ2 is supposed to sound like this or not. I swapped in my KBC PBT keys and it still sounds muffled. I used the same set of keys on my full size MJ2 and it still had a sharp clack to it compared to my new TKL MJ2's dull, muffled sound.
I dunno. It types fine, although the keys do feel very slightly more squishy just before bottoming out switch. I dunno. Opinions?

Full size MJ2 has different case anatomy. Totally normal. It's probably not as stark as I'm making it out to be, but I can't be sure without recordings.

Well I can make a recording if need be, but even compared to my QFR in reds, the bottoming out sound is similar enough to the full size MJ2 with its sharp clack which makes me wonder if there's something wrong with my new keyboard.

MJ2 TKLs do have documented ping/sound issues. I don't think anything is wrong with it.

Well all right, I tried to make a quick recording, but my phone can't seem to catch the difference actually being in front of the keyboards would make. The pings don't really bother me, it's just the stark contrast between the sounds my keyboards make when bottoming out that bothers me slightly. Oh well. No biggie, thanks for the help!

No prob. Every keyboard sounds and feels different, even if they use the same switches.
