Hello!
I signed up here a while ago but finally have the time to start working on a custom keyboard. Looking forward to hacking with hasu's tmk firmware and seeing what I can do to contribute to the community. I have an electrical and computer engineering background but have some experience with CAD and machining as well (haven't had a chance to do it in over 5 years though...).
My collection so far are 2 Das keyboards with blues, and Cherry G80-11900 with blacks. I'm hoping to replace one of the Das's with a programmable 60% or tkl.
BTW, anyone know where I could get either a PH7BIT plate for a phantom or a 60% plate (with cutouts for easy switch replacement) for a GON nerd60? I've been looking for over a week and haven't been able to find any for sale. Thanks!

Welcome back to GH! :thumb:
What do you have in mind for your custom keyboard? With your CAD and machining background, are you going to build one from scratch?
Hmm...about those plates on a GON nerd60...I think you might be better of posting that question in the Simple Questions, Simple Answers (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=40501.0) thread. ;)

Thanks! I'm not entirely sure when, but yes I'm hoping to eventually build one from scratch, from designing pcb to machining the case myself. I don't have any machining tools handy at the moment though so I'll probably just go with a cheapo case for now. :/
I'm torn between getting a phantom or a GON nerd60 pcb, since I've always had a full-size and use the del+arrow keys quite often. For switches, I can't decide between white or clears. Not sure about keycaps, but I'll probably go with a super simple set of PBT blank or side printed whites. So many decisions!
Thanks for the suggestion, I will look into that.

Welcome!
If you do end up designing a board it sounds like you'd make something i'd be interested in since i use my arrows and delete quite often as well.
