But, seriously, I went there occasionally and was glad to have it.

Information wants to be free.

No different from any other raid.
Eventually the bosses will respawn.

I don't know. As far as I can tell, nothing has really filled the void from when Megaupload went down a couple of years ago.

I don't think I've used a torrent client in about 2 years now and I've missed out on very little. It's just more inconvenient to pirate than it is to buy/have a subscription plan. The only thing that it makes getting more difficult is TV shows, luckily though most of TV is ****.

Tp4 doesn't condone the download and viewing of pirated material..
Tp4 has never intentionally used any such material.. They were all accidents..
Tp4 doesn't even know how to use torrent..
Tp4 only watches wholesome material legally purchased @ the local bluray sales events.

thepiratebay.cr

just a mirror, not the real deal as it were.

I also just found this  (http://blog.brokep.com/2014/12/09/the-pirate-bay-down-forever/)as well, interesting insight into the situation, and he has some interesting points.

I would think they would have learned by now they are not going to win against piratebay and just give up. All that happens when they do these things is cause a mild annoyance for couple day. I bet it cost them far more to go through the seizure process than it does for TBP to replace the hardware that are stolen from them.

fighting TPB is like fighting THE ENTIRE INTERNET..   it's not gonna happen..

The internet has been the BIG equalizer  against owners of capital...

Any small town guy has as much power as anyone else..

I imagine they are more than aware of this and only do these kinds of things for the press so they can say they are working hard on it etc etc

But its a non issue to real people. No one cares about it but the MPAA/RIAA and their lawyers, who paid them to do these 'laws' in the first place. They are not impressing anyone else.

Not designed to impress anyone else. This is my assumption anyway. A person or a group of people with power(money) make demands on the police and they are at least half forced to show some sort of willing so come fundraising they don't get shafted.

Again these are my assumptions based on the fact that the police investigating these things arnt stupid and know full well that they could raid several server banks and the pirate bay would still be back up within an hour or two
