Title: M4 lighter cable?

I really like the M4 I just got off eBay. I am planning on using it with a tablet as sort-of laptop :) But the coiled cable is OMG heavy is there a replacement? With USB perhaps? https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=28268 says it excludes the trackpoint. Pity.
