Hi everyone, long time guest, first time poster. I was wondering if anyone else has the same woes that I have when it comes to the thumbstick on the Razer Orbweaver. In the past Nostromo models, dating all the way back to the Belkin N52, I have relied heavily on each of the thumb's directionals to be pressed without accidentally pressing a different direction. Unfortunately since the Orbweaver is more like a thumbsick and not a DPAD, I often end up pressing Right when it should be UP or Down when it should be Left and because of this inaccuracy, I have had to shelve my Orbweaver for an older model.
Pics of what I'm referring to:

My apologies if this topic has already been tackled in the past but I was wondering if anyone has been able to mod a DPAD in place of their thumbstick on their Orbweaver model.
Thank you everyone in advance for any tips.

I bought one to replace my Logitech G13. You should be able to use the Razer Software in Windows to change your layout, but I gave up and went back to the Logitech G13. I'm hoping Roccat will come out with something mechanical. They have way better Linux Support.

I tried unbinding the diagonals but it made no difference. UP, DOWN, LEFT and RIGHT are all so close. i think i need to pull that nub off and replace it with some sort of DPAD but IDK

Interesting. If you do decide to do that, please post how you did it and the steps you took. I do believe others, including myself, would follow in your footsteps.

Haven't really spent much time on this as I have fallen back to just using my N52TE for convenience sake. I'm surprised that not many other people are affected by this as much as I am. At this point I'm debating whether or not to just add some sort of nubs onto the existing thumbstick so my brain knows where my thumb rests or to go all out and try and replace the thumbstick for a complete DPAD. I looked into just buying another N52TE but the sellers want $300+. =/

Yes I know i'm totally necroing this thread but what the OP said is exactly what i'm looking for and easier then starting a new thread...
I play a certain FPS game professionally and I heavily rely on the DPAD of the razer nostromo to lean left, right, sprint, melee however im starting to run out of keys. Purchased the orbweaver like a dummy and thought I could get use to the analog stick and bind it a certain way but its too clumsy and doesnt allow me what I need to do. There has to be somebody that has this same problem, as evident by the OP, that has tried to mod a DPAD instead of the analog stick on the orbweaver right?? Cause like the OP I went back to my nostromo out of convenience but I still have this orbweaver next to me and I'd like to use it for the extra buttons. Anyone? :(
