Title: Poker II issues after firmware upgrade
Post by: asdjr on Fri, 12 December 2014, 13:23:29
Received a KBC Poker II with clears from a Massdrop purchase and I have experienced a few issues on OSX, even after the firmware upgrade posted elsewhere on this forum.

Mainly, if I hold down the function key for an extended period of time (for example, to use the arrow keys), sometimes the function feature will "stick", as in even after I deactivate the function key, I cannot return to typing normally unless I unplug the keyboard.  I have experienced a few other instances where keys get "stuck" in their alternate functions like this and behave oddly unless I unplug the keyboard.

Did I get unlucky and receive a defective keyboard?  Has anyone else experienced occurrences like this after firmware upgrades?  Thanks.

When your function key is 'stuck,' do you have access to the entire function layer, or just the arrow keys?  Sounds like you might accidentally be pressing fn+space.

Hilariously enough, I continued searching after I posted this and yes, it appears that what was happening.  I should be careful in the future not to do that.

Thanks for your reply!

after update, only the fn seems to work after wake from sleep on osx. Its strange because before nothing worked.
