Title: Hello, A New Member From Kentucky
Post by: KaBar42 on Sat, 20 December 2014, 18:21:33
Hello all. I recently found this site last night and thought it seemed like my site.

I've always liked keyboards and I could never quite satisfy my obsession with them.

But I also never thought that there was a forum for keyboards! ;D

The keyboard I'm currently using is a Dell L100. I love this keyboard and it's been with me since my (Read: My mom's) first computer after she had me. For nearly eight years, this little guy's been my friend. I'm sixteen now.

I am also a fan of the Logitech K120 keyboards, though. I blame my school on that.

I'm in the market for some mechanical keyboards, so if anyone's got some for mid priced ones, that'd be awesome.

I'm looking forward to my stay here.

Welcome to Geekhack!

What do you consider "mid price"?  The absolute cheapest you'll find will probably be around $60, the most expensive commonly available ones are around $250.

Also what other criteria are you looking for - full size, TKL, 75%, 60%?  Keycaps?  Backlighting?

Backlighting would be awesome, but not necessary.

Full size is prefered, and I have no preference for keycaps.

$60, huh? Didn't realize they went as low as that...

Some of the CM boards went that low, on sales and/or with mail in rebates.

Backlighting will add about $30 to $50 to the price of a board.

Have you heard of Ducky boards?  The Ducky Shine is actually quite good (I have 3).

Huh, I like their zero model. I may have to look into this more.

Thanks!

Welcome to GH!

You should take a look around our classifieds here for a board as well!
