So I was wondering if anyone would be interested in these. I am by no means an incredible artist or claim to be. I just like to doodle and can draw pretty good as long as I have a reference picture.
This is my work-mat I have used for about 4 years now: http://imgur.com/a/1UcGZ
It is the perfect size for a poker and a mouse. I also used this to play card games such as Magic.
I am just curious to see if people would be interested in this sort of thing. I am currently trying to find blank mats that are the size of tekmats. No luck so far.

So its just cloth?

Nope. same material as the Tekmats.
Here is a link to some blank ones: http://www.amazon.com/White-Yugioh-Magic-Gathering-Playmat/dp/B001CYK2EM/ref=pd_sim_t_7?ie=UTF8&refRID=1M1TA8F6H4DC5SW79M6Y
It has a rubber backing.

I have some interest in this. I was looking at a desk mat to order last night, but wasn't keen on spending $30 for a huge mousepad.
Might spend that much on one if it is custom.

Again that one is pretty old. I will create another one and showcase it. I use sharpies and paint pens to create them. This was originally just a blank red mat. They come in a huge array of colors.

I regularly use a playmat that I got for MTG. They work really well, and fit on a smaller desk. But, it would be cool to see some non-mtg themed ones :).

Yeah a lot of the gaming mats are fantasy or cartoon themed. It is why I created my own. I am thinking about playing with custom stencils and spray paint as well. Super easy to create stencils online but I don't know how spray paint will hold up on the material.

Yeah, it might peel off, or at least feel weird on the fabric. You would be better off using ink of some sort. something without polymers in it which will create a film. A friend of mine purchased a plain mat and drew/colored Pokemon on it with felt tip permanent markers. It came out pretty awesome looking. There are also a few companies that do custom prints as well.

Interested as well. Would like to stop having a drawer liner under my keyboard ahha (I have some under the pcb too)

I am interested, and this is a great way to personalize a setup even further.

Ate you going to go through someone like InkedPlaymats or something? That is when I got my custom mat and it is pretty sweet.
These things by the way are also passable for mouse mats. Not the greatest, but passable.
