I know there are like a billion topics with Topre, but I don't think anyone's covered this yet.
From my research it sounds like people are saying the dye sub version is somehow heavier, almost inching in to 55g territory (even though it's market as 45g).
Anyone who own both can confirm this?
Also do the keycaps feels different? If so which would you prefer? I've read the lasered version is softer when typing, the dye sub version feels more harsh.
Another question, what's your favourite "typing feel" Topre? (Ignore form factor, strictly on typing feel)

I have a new dye-sub 660C and typing on it does in fact feel heavier and more tactile than my 45g Realforce, and comes close to the feeling of typing on my 55g Realforce. I don't own a lasered 660C so I can't compare the two, however the dye-sub keycaps look awesome - especially combined with some other color keycaps.

I like typing on the 55g Realforce after getting used to the weight, however my dye-sub FC660C is also fun to type on and more pleasant than the 55g. The 55g feels and sounds dampened, while the 660C is more snappy and clacky. Can't really say which one is my favorite since they're both nice in their own ways.
I can definitely recommend the dye-sub 660C if you're considering it.

Ohhhhh nice, because so far I own RealForce 104U (Variable) and Topre Type Heaven (45g). My girlfriend owns the Leopopld FC660C (Lasered Version) and I have tried HHKB very very briefly.
Personally I like the full size factor since I use number pad a lot. But I actually don't like how variable feels and I find 45g uniform is slowly to feel too light after getting used to it.
At home I don't need the number pad so I feel like the dye sub FC660C might be the best compromise between all the things I want.
Either this or mod my 104U to 45g uniform using a 2nd Type Heaven or something.
I might need to think about this, thanks for the feedback !
