As for this OEM shell … well I hope they continue revising it in the future  because there’s a giant hole that carried over for the original OEM device that isn't present on here that’s being covered by only the sticker. That’s not entirely a bad thing in this case because this does mean they significantly changed the PCB.

How did you come to this conclusion? The hole doesnt exist on the original shell or is already covered up, so not in use, also where should they have modified the pcb and for what reason? There has been zero "modifications" from the brand itself whatsoever, factory already makes the minor modifications for usage with 3310(instead of A9800) and thats it. Not to mention that their claim about the lens is wrong.
wow, this is actually really cool.
I don't really like that kind of rubber where the thumb rests either, but maybe they could do something about it.
any idea what the button switches are? omron/huanos/other?
also, would you mind snapping some photos of the right side of it, so you can see how ones fingers would rest on it in that area?
thanks for the write-up, really nice.
How is the middle button like?
Is the cable soft and pliable, or do you have to fight it if it isn't laying just right?
Oh, I see what you are saying.More"The hole doesnt exist on the original shell or is already covered up, so not in use"
Apparently i am writing in chinese or something, so here is a picture.Show Image(http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/61xXv0KH3nL._SL1000_.jpg[/more])
I don't think its a matter of simple of asking the factory to put the 3310 sensor on the PCB though as you've said.
If that was the case Zowie would have hopped on this bandwagon earlier and god knows they're practically recycling their shells at this point. The cl evo, the fk'14 and the fk'2 are all recycled shells.
Even mionix which has used the same 2 shells for their mice took some sweet time in releasing a 3310.
