Title: Brand New in original foam IBM Square Silver Logo Model M keyboard, part 1390131
Post by: Ellipse on Sun, 28 December 2014, 14:15:54
These keyboards had a clamshell foam packaging that protected both sides of the keyboard, as opposed to a majority of the more common later 1391401 units (see my other thread for those photos).

This particular one came with keyboard templates where you could lay them in the area of the function keys and write down what each function key corresponded to in your applications.

This unit had the square silver logo and also came with a black AT keyboard cable, meaning this keyboard was probably intended to work with the IBM 5170 PC AT computer.

It would be a shame to open and use that cable too!
