I recently bought a CM Storm QuickFire Rapid, and am very satisfied with it.
I found that the lack of a number pad was just fine, and that I could just use another keyboard when the need arose.
But today I decided to play Grand Theft Auto IV, with Simple Native Trainer, and when I tried to use my full size Unicomp (which gets minimal use nowdays..) for the key combinations with the number pad while controlling the character and vehicles with the QuickFire, it just didn't feel right.
So I remembered that on one of my dad's old laptops, it didn't have a number pad, not even a seperate insert, delete, home, end.....etc, as well as the arrow keys (The arrow keys were built in below the right shift key), but pressing number lock would turn some of the letter keys into a number pad.
So I was wondering if there was any way to toggle an option to use the keys not used in gaming (I was thinking Y,U,I,O,H,J,K,L,N,M,,,.or something).
Or if that isn't a good combination, even just using the top row of number keys as a fake number pad.
Is this too ambitious or is there a way to do this?

You're probably looking for a replacement, programmable controller unit for your keyboard, like the "Frosty Flake" (which may not be for your model of keyboard- it's just an example of one of them). A lot of people here on GH swear by these replacement controllers.

Ah. Being lazy and all I'm going to say that it's not worth the trouble.
Thanks for the reply anyways, at least now I know where to look if I decide in the future that I need one.
