Title: Repairing MJ2
Post by: fknraiden on Tue, 30 December 2014, 02:54:09
Friend spilt beer in his keyboard and it ended up coming up as unrecognized device. Told him i could look into it and possibly repair it.
i've since taken it home and desoldered all the switches and washed the pcb, its now drying in a bag covered in rice. any other tips any of you might have would be appreciated.

Controller may be bad.  Might need a new controller.  I think someone here makes replacement controllers.  Note, that I am speculating, and this would be assuming the same scenario when the board is put back together.

That would be bpiphany. The Kitten Paw model is for the 104/105, Pegasus Hoof is for 87/88.

Controller may be short circuited and need to be replaced.
