Anyone have any good recommendations for a modular key chain system with easy access?
My set of keys, thumb drives, tools and store cards keeps growing and I'd like a system where I could easily remove a thumb drive to plug it in the pc without having all the keys dangling and also where I could separate the keys into a few groups that could be separated if needed.
Any ideas or suggestions?

Most compact solution I've found is to just have a single carabiner + many regular 1" steel rings..
it's light weight and easy to get on and off.

I keep my rings seperate. One ring for house keys (mine, sister in laws, mother in laws, parents, friends). Another for work keys (cabinets, office, storage, CO racks, testbeds - all the things the badges don't work for). Another for USB (flash drives, app security keys). One ring for each car key / FOB (only keep the one with me for the car I am driving, whether mine or a rental).

Gonna try a few of these little guys interlinked with sets of keys/drivers etc linked together.

Separate keyrings for each object + one neodymium magnet = modular keyring system

um... ok... but that's kinda more work.
because having the small connector is harder to fiddle with than a single larger carabinar
