I bought one just to try it out. Didn't like it much more than my Realforce.
It's like new, only used for a few minutes.
$155 + shipping (usually $10-20 depending on distance from Los Angeles)
SOLD - locally for $120

Hey sorry to inform you that the novatouch is selling for $149.99 on newegg, if you use the mobile site you get another $15 off. That includes free shipping. So you might want to revise your price.
-
Yeah, $155 before shipping is a bit pricey. I remember one went on Reddit not too long ago for $110 I think, however that was definitely below the norm.
Edit: I would have been surprised to hear myself say that a month ago. It's still going for $180 on Amazon.

even still, you can source it elsewhere for cheaper than what you have it listed for :p
-
oh, I had no idea. I don't frequent the forums or keep up with keyboards much anymore. I was just going by Amazon's price.
if anyone is interested, feel free to shoot me an offer. not going to sell it for $110 though :P

yeah you can have a look at it here http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823129034
OP i would atleast match the price because it's already been used :)

geez people, I appreciate the heads up on pricing, but calm down. I'm not trying to rip anyone off, just trying to make some money back.
I'll sell it to anyone who's interested who makes a decent offer. Either shoot me a PM if you're interested, or go away.
I've sold/given away more things on GH back when I was active than the total number of posts you guys have :))

Wow, you had my sympathy until that last bit.

What's wrong with Khaangaaroo's words?
For one, they are the truth.
For another, the people trying to get him to lower his price are indeed geekhack noobs with little history, who presumably missed the deal which expired 31st Dec and now want a Topre for less.
Personally I do think Khang has to lower his price if he wants to have any hope of selling it at all. CM Novatouch is sadly (for him) not a popular keyboard and other people have had difficulty selling theirs also. Frankly, even at $100 shipped I won't buy, but that's just me. It's got nothing to do with Khang.
-
Thanks, Beserkfan.
I didn't realize the Novatouch was such an unpopular board. Again, I haven't been reading up the forums, but I wanted to try one first hand because it sounded so promising. At close to the $100 mark, I would choose it over many of the MX boards I had in the past. At close to $200, my preference goes to Realforce.
I'm not worried about selling it. I just got annoyed at people is all. If someone is interested and shoots me an offer, then great! If not, maybe I'll spend some time modding and make it into something I really like.
-
Khang, I personally think that a lot of the negative feelings about the Novatouch have to do with missed expectations. People were expecting Cooler Master prices but got Realforce prices.
And CM made the mistake of using their keycaps, which are of an unpopular quality ill suited to a keyboard at Realforce prices.
And now Noppoo and other companies are starting to launch similar boards.
So there's no way you can sell yours at the price you want to.
However, there seems to be plenty of demand for Novatouch sliders. I think you can get $100 for the sliders alone. And since you have (presumably) tons of spare realforce sliders from other projects, you can just make your own Realforce with standard OEM layout from the remains of the Novatouch?

Wow "geekhack noobs with little history" aren't you pretentious. I'm pretty sure most people actually wanted him to revise his price because he might get a better chance of selling it as opposed to them missing the deal that was available during their time of posting.

Don't mind him, he's just a troll now.

Holy ****, stop crapping this poor guys thread. If you want to discuss non-sale **** like where CM went wrong or bellyache about your hurt feelings after getting called a noob, do so in a private message. If the price is too high I'm sure the OP will figure it out if/when it doesn't sell.
-
If Newegg was able to sell these for $135 with free shipping, then CM is really ripping us off :P
-
Sorry about blabbing nonsense on Khang's thread. My liking for topre has no bearing on his thread.
That said for the newbies who don't know him, he's an awesome modder and I wrote to him privately suggesting he mod his stuff instead. His modded stuff always sells at his asking price (usually takes less than two days too) and there are also people who want to buy Novatouch sliders. And of course I am just that kind of window shopper who wants to see what new mods Khang can do to his keyboard. Bluetooth Topre on a CM ie standard layout TKL? Topre lovers will stampede all over our Khaangaaroo.
No sorry to melkenshawn, who has hardly any involvement with the community so far. I've dealt with plenty of 'noobs with little history' and most are bad for business on my keycaps thread. EG they'll tell you they want a bunch of specific stuff, you agree on price, you take the time to pull them out and package them, and suddenly the noob changes his mind and asks for refund, or wants to totally change his order. And there are also 'noobs' who don't sound like noobs. They use a smurf account to low ball because they don't want to use their regular account to negotiate too aggressively for fear of offending people.

Meh..I shouldn't even bother...but..
I don't see anything wrong with informing someone that the new advertised street price is lower than their asking price....If I was listing something like that I'd certainly rather someone tell me rather than just waste time.
I actually took their posts to be helpful..some people took it differently...but going off on someone's "newness" to a site is a bit slack....
-
I think this is a solid deal since $149.99 is the price on newegg without taxes (California tax % sucks).
I'd pick it up if I didn't own a Novatouch myself :)
If you live in LA then I'd definitely consider taking this off Khaangaaroo's hands.

I did appreciate the initial feedback on pricing in reply #1. (Although it would have been more considerate if he had done it via PM.) The continual crapping in reply 2, 3, and then 5, 6 even after I had responded, is what annoyed the **** out of me. Perhaps my initial inaction on lowering was perceived as stubbornness? I didn't see their need to PROVE to me that my asking price is high, and keep insisting that I lower it.
After doing some research, and considering the Newegg $15 mobile app promo was ending in a few hours, I thought I'd let my asking price sit, and open it up to offers since I wasn't in a hurry to sell the thing. It's just an asking price anyways. I already knew it wasn't going to sell it at that price, but I also made it known that I won't go as low as $110 shipped because I would rather keep then.
I've done enough selling online that I know the cost of shipping a 6 pound package varies a lot, and that someone on the West Coast can grab this board for a steal vs someone paying $20+ for shipping on the other side of the country. And like deazncy said, if you're in CA, you have to pay close to 10% tax on Newegg. Making me an offer and picking it up, or paying $10 for shipping on top of wherever we agree doesn't sound like a bad deal to me. Everyone's buying situation is different, and I'm more flexible on price than you would think :thumb:
Anyways, I have a potential local buyer, willing to come pick it up on Monday. I'm still entertaining other offers, in case anyone shoots me one higher or if they change their mind.

Are you interested in a trade for a MJ2 tkl with browns?

Sorry, not interested in trades for keyboards, unless it's some new must-try switch I haven't heard of since I've been away...haha

Shizz man, you definately have to try logitech's new mechanical switches.

When I see the price of the keyboard I want in the US compared to the price in EU, it hurts. It is sold 200$ NIB here. Shipping fees and import taxes make it uninteresting for us to buy from US unfortunately.
Your price seems fair to me and you are open to offers. GLWS.
