For $300 it at least better have a aluminum case...
Like really who even uses those lighting modes during regular use? I mean sure, it makes for a nice experience at LAN parties for a few minutes but it's not very practical

is that better?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=9o9MNi_hCvgSo Ducky had access to the RGB switches during the exclusity deal with Corsair ?

late feb 2015
$300
That's around the time Cherry's deal with corsair expires, no?

So we can expect ducky RGB as soon as the deal end ?
$300
yeah this thing better be a lot nicer than previous shines for that crazy price, not just some new lighting modes$300
That is...a lot.
Wouldn't it be a special edition like Ducky often do ?
Because if their shine RGB is 300$ it won't sell great .

i would think the shine FOUR rgb would be a special edition with a high price.
their shine FIVE would probably be rgb by default.
I wonder if this is kailh or cherry...
When does that partnership with corsair or whatever for the one year with the rgb end with cherry?

I hope to hell for $300 they're Cherry
I might get a little bit of hate for this, but I'm honestly getting sick of all this marketing towards how many LED modes and colors we can shove into a board, it's getting old.

Now is it worth 2x the amount of a regular ducky shine?
Hope it comes with doubleshot pbt caps to justify the price point.
$240 is still way too much for a stock ducky

I've never been a huge fan of boards with different switches scattered throughout, even if they are on less used keys.
Well, I'm more talking about the crazy modes like "snake" which are just really distracting. For $300 it at least better have a aluminum case...

Should I ever get one, and should the lighting mode be settable from the computer, then you could connect it to your notification system and set up something like: flash arrow keys for new email, flash numpad when you finish compiling, flash the function keys when a download finishes etc.
Could be quite useful.
PS But not for $300.
Especially when it has clicky, linear, AND tactile all on the same boardShow Image(https://scontent-b-ams.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpf1/t31.0-8/10818316_799027740172322_1989032191518143621_o.jpg)

that looks like someone let their 8 y/o kid design a keyboard. "I LIKE RAINBOWS." It just seems so arbitrary. I dunno, I might just not see the wisdom in it because I'm dumb though.Show Image(https://scontent-b-ams.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpf1/t31.0-8/10818316_799027740172322_1989032191518143621_o.jpg)
