Title: RGB caps and A profile
Post by: asgeirtj on Sat, 03 January 2015, 15:48:18

I'm looking at this set.  What exactly is included in this set?  The product details are horribly confusing like everything on originative.  The product details doesn't match the picture.  Also, this is a white legend set, which doesn't really match most sets since most sets have black legends.  Are there any black legend sets available somewhere?  I'm pretty sure I've seen GMK RGB black legend set somewhere.

I'm curious about the A profile.  Is it generally more like that B profile bottom row?  Is it more ergonomical?  Does it feel much different at all? And why does bsp have A profile but not E profile on f keys?

There was a Korean group buy in 2008(?) from Cherry for A profile RGB. Not posted here that often, but it is out there. Cherry A profile is higher and more angled than B profile source (http://deskthority.net/wiki/Keyboard_profile). Some people prefer it as it was the standard on most old Cherry keyboards.

As nubbinator said, please do not buy from Originative. They are horribly unreliable and a nightmare to deal with. Maybe post a WTB thread in the classifieds? RGB isn't that rare, so you should be able to find a set!

I've bought from originative 2x with no problems for what it's worth.  I'm really just interested in what's included in this package, thanks!   What I'm most concerned about is if the gmk rgby has 1,25x as well as 1,5x.

Pretty sure GMK RGBY have basically same thing that was in Feng's groupbuy, maybe without ISO 1.25 shift since it isn't listed, only 1 of each shift size, and with only 1 esc key... no clue what color.

A profile have sharper angle inward... see

It have different feeling, maybe you like it, maybe not.

The sets originative sell might be advertised as A-profile control/alts but they are in fact B-profile. I don't know why they have it wrong on their site.

Imsto has these minus the 1x keys, I'm not sure if they're the profile you're looking for though, hopefully Photekq or Ivan could clarify this. Hope this helps!

Those are A-profile, unlike the BSP ones originative sells.
