Title: The Want Thread

Of course we all want keyboards.

But what is the next purchase that you will be making in the next month or two? What has been sitting in the cart for awhile but you just haven't gotten around to checking out?

Here is mine, still working out the switch type but I think reds will be on the next board for me. WASD has been recommended to me for awhile by many people. I like the plain look without all the bells and whistles like on my other boards. Mainly gonna be used in the office.

I may buy some lube and stickers for my vintage blacks.

On another note, have you tried MX Reds on a full keyboard before? A sampler isn't the same feel as a whole keyboard

Actually, there really isn't much that I'm lusting after right now.  It's a good thing.  There are a few keysets and IC's I've been keeping an eye on but I have four boards coming so I should wait until those all get here. :))

Well I'm sure there is a place to purchase hot women online...might have to travel into the deep web though :p

Nice. But maybe go for Barebones WASD with Ducky thick PBT blue and grey caps? Similar colour scheme to the one you wanted and better quality caps.

I was one click away from getting a WASD v2 with MX clears but eventually opted for a KUL & blank keycaps from elitekeyboards.com. I paid around the same price for this setup with the added benefit of having another complete keyset & not having to use WASD keycaps (I personally haven't used them, but I've heard many say they're cheap.)

I'll look into it. I don't own a set of PBT yet so will be something to look into.

Right now I want a Ducky Shine 4 with MX Browns. Dat red/blue lighting and the crazy effects. ...I don't even ever look at my keyboard when I type. But I know me, and I'll end up spending hours distracted by it because ooh, pretty lights.

I also need to get a soldering iron and some desoldering stuff so I can try to fix the sticking switches on the old Kinesis Essential I've got. Pesky plate mounting means I can't just pry off the tops and clean or replace springs/plungers. That should be nicely terrifying since I have no depth perception, no soldering experience, and the PCB is curved.

I also want a Planck. It's so tiny and cute. 

Not a physical thing, but I'm currently trying to learn the Workman layout. I figure I'm too proficient in Qwerty to ever unlearn my improper technique with it. My speed is terrible, but I am managing proper technique.

What I really want is enough money to very comfortably retire.  Preferably today.

What I would settle for in the shorter term is an SSK (industrial is optional, but I know how much they sell for so I am happy to set my sights much lower), or a 55g uniform RealForce.

I want to quit keyboards. Finish my thesis, master touch typing in AdnW, and sell everything but my ErgoDox and modded QFR. I'll eventually buy an Axios, if it ever becomes available, and a dual-hand Maltron, if I stumble upon another one. That's it.
