Hello everyone I'm filipino but currently reside in Australia,
I originally grew my interest in mechanical keyboards from finding /r/mechanicalkeyboards on reddit, but I quickly grew tired of looking at poker 2's and other stock keyboards so I decided to check GH out! Been lurking for a week or so and I just love the passion you guys have for this stuff and the sense of community that you guys have for each other.
I currently own a semi decent membrane keyboard: the Logitech G510 and I'm thinking of getting the HHKB as my first mech(?) board (I just love what people have done with their HHKB's in the post your topre keyboard thread and its layout looks so nice).
Since I'm planning to buy my HHKB from elitekeyboards.com (HHKBs are practically non existent from any retailers in Australia :'() I thought about picking up some of their lube (https://elitekeyboards.com/products.php?sub=access,misc). Just not sure if I need to get both since I don't really know how the stabilisers work on topre boards and I'm assuming I should get the red labelled lube for the stems itself or is there a better alternative to the lube available that would justify m paying more for shipping :p
Anyways thanks for having a read and I can't wait to join you guys when my HHKB gets here!

Welcome to Geekhack!
You are going the expensive route if you plan to customise an HHKB - replacement keycaps are not very common, and artisan keycaps are getting more and more difficult to obtain.
However it is a fantastic keyboard!
I wouldn't say you need to lube it - mine is secondhand, unlubed, and feels great!

Thanks for the welcome!
I think my wallet is prepared to take the hits ;) I'm not really that keen on collecting artisan keycaps but I'd definitely like a few if it'd match whatever keyset I'm using, however there are a few that I'd really like to get which are basically the food themed blanks made by Clack Factory such as the beer, popsicle, candycorn and the one in your profile picture (wouldn't mind having a few cold ones of those after work/uni :)) )

Good luck getting hold of those!
My avatar pic is a Drunken Skull, the flat one of those is called Oktoberfest.
The red/white/blue one is Julysicle - I haven't seen one of those traded for a long time!
Candycorns often appear around Halloween - you've got a long wait ahead, but then if you want these specific Clacks you will need a healthy dose of patience too.

Welcome to GH!
have you looked into if it might be cheaper to proxy a board from Japan rather than EK? The Yen is weak right now and Tenso had a promo before giving a discount.
