Title: What mounting style is used for most SP keycaps
Post by: MOZ on Mon, 05 January 2015, 04:40:31
There's a ton of SA/DSA/DCS keycaps, but I never paid attention to the type of mounting that was in use. According to SP's site there are 4 options available for MX compatible stems.

Anyone aware of the mount style generally used?

i think it depends on the profile.

So the recess is the only difference? DCS is definitely quite a bit recessed. I don't own any others :p

SA profile uses PU. It's even printed on the inside of the caps.

I'd say DCS could also be PU also since the ones I have seem flush, but .005" is a tiny amount, so they could also be 4U.

I don't own any DSA caps right now, so I can't check those, but I think I remember seeing what could have been 6U printed on the inside of one of them at some point... Best if someone who as some chips in with more detail I guess.

I wasn't aware it was stamped on the inside. I shall go home and check.
