Studio Ghibli, Kurosawa... seriously, what films have you been watching? Have also heard good things about Hirokazu Koreeda's films I Wish and Like Father Like Son. Good films are out there.
For the most part.. I was bored by the Ghibli stuff.. I also thought the Kurosawa films were crummy...If you think Kurosawa's films are crummy then you, my friend, have drastically different tastes in movies than me. You might not like them but that doesn't make them crummy or terribad...

You have personal tastes. Doesn't make the films terribad by any stretch, they're near universally praised.
Plenty of classic horror/thriller that's available if that's more your thing.

7 Samurai... Tp4 Falling asleep, yes I acknowledge there's a wage gap..
(that's literally the whole story, wage gap in feudal japan)Show Image(http://a.deviantart.net/avatars/l/a/lazyonion.gif?1)
Lots of B-roll horror and gore movies out there from the land of Nippon. I have a soft spot for them though.
Ichi The Killer, the Guinea Pig series, Tokyo Gore Police, Hellavator. Lot's of good stuff.
And I mean, The 7 Samurai is one of the greatest films ever made. You probably don't have the capacity to appreciate it though

It completely changed the way movies were shot. Even today they still use some of the same camera techniques Kurosawa pineered when filming Seven Samurai. Even if the movie itself puts you to sleep, you've got to at least concede the man was a technical master.

I miss him being part of the game grumps :(
If you think Kurosawa's films are crummy then you, my friend, have drastically different tastes in movies than me. You might not like them but that doesn't make them crummy or terribad...Note that tp4tissue only consumes fiction for the sex and the fight scenes, and basically doesn’t like anything that isn’t at the level of comic books or porn. So any work heavy on dialog, plot, character development, or intellectual stimulation of any kind is right out.

God does not exist.
Calling me stupidI didn’t call you stupid, only really shallow with a short attention span and awful taste.

Don’t change though tp4. This place wouldn’t be the same without you.
Have you not seen films by Akira Kurosawa, Shunji Iwai, Makoto Shinkai, etc, etc...?????????
Japanese horror is pretty good too and for some added fun, the Battle Royale series...

For what it's worth, given tp4's obsession with women I'm surprised he doesnt like Japanese cinema more...
I can recall, off the top of my head, more than a few times where I've hooked up while or right after watching Japanese movies... at least twice after watching Ikiru alone and once after Battle Royale, which was kind of weird.
Then again, I suppose tp4's aversion to Japanese films might be because the ladies of the sex industry aren't the type to be into deep/thoughtful movies for the most part.

Vigorously plunged my fully engorged manhood deep into her glistening lady-cavern!
Hooked up ? please .. that is childish..You know... I used the term "hooked up" because I know some GH members are underage and their parents would probably not appreciate us using graphic terms to describe our adult experiences but since you are so hung up on my use of a PG-13 term then here goes, a translation just for you, tp4:
