Hello,
I've just received a hand-made keycap set from WASD, to replace the Das Keyboard 4 blank set. I must say they are looking great, the feeling is nice too! The colours of their new UV process is looking good and seems to render the colours accurately enough, and I found that using Inkscape to create a custom keyboard is a very straightforward procedure, the most difficult was to choose a nice font ;)
Just two little mistakes on their part, and unfortunately they didn't let me see the proof image before sending the set (they were just too busy at the time), but they are very minor and I'm not sure I'll even bother asking replacement keys for those.
The only problem I'm facing now is that I realized Das Keyboard have been vicious enough to actually glue the Cherry stabilizers inserts (the little white pegs under the large keycaps), so I can't reuse them for the new set - I actually broke one keycap shaft holding those inserts since the ABS are pretty fragile.
Does anyone knows where to buy them in Europe? I could buy them from WASD but the import costs at customs are 28€ - they are quite the thieves as usual, which is a bit too much for little plastic pieces IMHO.
I'll post some pics once the replacement is finished :)

Keyboardco.com is the only place in Europe that I know of, still pretty expensive though.

Yes, saw that ... about 16€ for 8 little parts. Better than something coming from US but still a bit too much.
Maybe it's a good time, or a good excuse, to buy a 3D printer ;)

Thanks, but I said the costs from US were too high, as I said in my title and my post, I'm looking for European distributors.

But it seems there are few enough places selling these anyway!
Perhaps you might find something else at one of the US stores and combine shipping? If it's not too big, that is.
Otherwise go for Keyboard Co.

Yes, it's strange, you'd think it'd be easier to find. Ah, bleeding edge technology is hard to find ;)
Maybe if I could smuggle those little buggers... I'll have to think about it. Don't know if it's the same for you when you import stuff from outside, but here they're absolutely delighted by anything coming out of the EU, take 1-2 weeks to be sorted out of customs, and heavily taxed (if they go through, which is not always the case).
So yeah... maybe Keyboard co it is.

I faced the same dilemma as the op as I lost one of mine yesterday after cleaning all my keycaps but I found the keyboard company expensive. After a quick google search I found a place selling them cheaper. If there is anyone in the UK who needs a Cherry MX switch stabilizer insert then it's 48p for a pack of two (£1.68 inc vat delivered first class to UK mainland). Beats the £5.40 price the Keyboard co are charging.
