Hello,
The small usb connector on my ergodox broke, it was off the board, so I desoldered and soldered a new one there.
Now all the right side keys work properly, but none of the left side keys work.
How could I start troubleshooting this? I tested the cable with a multimeter and everything looks good so I don't really know what could I check anymore.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

IMHO solder the interconnect direct to board. Skip the trrs port which are crummy quality

I don't think the problem is with the trrs port. I test the connection between the two halves with a multimeter and everything seems to work.
Could it be a problem with the usb connector?
The USB connector has 5 pins. For of them I can find a connection, to the cable that connects to the teensy. But there is a pin that aparently doesn't connect anywhere. Where should it be connected?
When looking at the back of the ergodox, looking at the USB connector, cables A, C, D and E connect to the teensy cable, but I can't figure out where B should be connected to.
A B
C D E
Thanks

Maybe an issue with the I/O expander? Or with one of the traces or solder joints somewhere on that side? If you post a highish-resolution photo of that side of the board in the 'ergodox' thread or in the 'living soldering thread', someone can probably offer advice.

Is there a way I can test the IO/Expander? It might be the problem.
I tried my right half with a friend's left half and everything works so something is wrong on my left half.
Thanks
